Service is at the heart of everything that we do at Happy Hearing Center. All of our services are available to the public even if you purchased your hearing aids somewhere other than Happy Hearing Center. We also welcome your comments as to how we can better serve you. Cleanings  

Hearing aids should be professionally cleaned at least 3 times each year for as long as you own them. Even though they may look clean to you, tiny wax and skin particles will form on the electronic parts and can cause problems if left untreated. At Happy Hearing Center, we have the special equipment necessary to do this and we provide this service FREE of charge to the public. You do not need an appointment, but it is recommended to save waiting time. After your instruments are cleaned, we will offer to schedule you a follow up appointment in 4 months. It is best to schedule an appointment even if you may need to reschedule it at a latter date. This serves as a reminder and prevents letting particles build up inside your hearing aids that can cause expensive repairs later on. 

Ear Wax Check   Ear wax in the ear canal is normal and will not cause a problem unless it either builds up and prevents the sound from reaching the eardrum, or unless it is very fluid and gets inside the instrument. It is best to let a professional look inside your ear regularly to monitor any excessive build up. At Happy Hearing Center, we use a video otoscope to look inside the ear. If a build up is noticed, your hearing care professional will discuss the options available to you. Again, this is a service offered FREE to the public.

Computer Adjustments         Hearing aids only work well when they are properly adjusted. Many times a minor adjustment can greatly improve the performance and level of satisfaction you receive. All employees at Happy Hearing receive continuous training to be able to know just what adjustments are needed to solve a particular problem and improve customer satisfaction. We offer this service to the public at NO CHARGE, even if it requires computer adjustments or re-testing.

Computer Analysis: Sometimes there are issues that make adjusting a hearing aid a little more difficult, and it is necessary to perform a computer analysis of the instrument while it is actually working inside the patient's ear. This requires special equipment and special training to be able to properly evaluate and make the necessary adjustments. Once again, at Happy Hearing you will Never be Charged for this service, even if you purchased your hearing aids somewhere else.

 

Hearing Test  There are two very important reasons that you should have your hearing tested at least once each year. If you do not have a hearing loss, it is still best to have a base-line recording on file for reference. Secondly, if you do have a loss, your hearing loss did not come on suddenly, and it does not stop deteriorating even after you are wearing hearing aids. While it is true that wearing aids helps slow down the process, it does not stop additional loss. You need to have your hearing tested again at least annually to monitor the changes you are personally experiencing. If the changes are significant, you may need to have an adjustment to your instrument to compensate. You will not be charged a fee for re-testing at Happy Hearing Center.

Finally, even though your hearing may have changed only slightly, you may be getting so accustomed to the amplified sound that there are adjustments need to compensate. The only way to know for sure how to best monitor this process is to compare how you feel the hearing aids are performing to what your test results show. This way, we have a record of YOUR specific hearing needs.
